Let’s not sink in the tank….

Tomorrow the Stars will be taking on the San Jose Sharks in a 3pm (CST) matinee. So far this season the Stars are 1-2-1 against the west coast rivals. The one win however came in the Shark tank the night Mike Modano became the best American hockey player ever.

Judging from the past meetings, it looks like it’s going to be an extremely close game. Despite winning 3 of the 4 meetings so far this season, the Sharks have only outscored the Stars by 1 goal. The Stars are going to have to shutdown Joe Thornton, he has 6 points against the Stars alone already this season.  The good news about tomorrow?  Jonathan Cheechoo and Jeremy Roenick are both on injured reserve and won’t be playing.

Hopefully Modano, who has 5 points against the division rival, can recreate the magic that happened on November 7th, when he scored 2 goals. They might also have to shut down Turco (if he starts, which I don’t see why he wouldn’t) since he also had an assist the last time the Stars visited San Jose.

The Ribeiro-Morrow-Miettinen line could also do quite a bit of damage, scoring a collective 6 points against the Sharks.

All in all, I think it’s going to be an interesting and fun game to watch.

PS. Zubov needs to win the Norris. The end.

He’s going to find you and come kill you. It astounds me how selfless Zubov is. He doesn’t give a damn about the Norris, he just wants to win for his team. It’s both really awesome and kind of annoying, because he really deserves the Norris.
