Turco a Star in more ways than one

The NHL has named Marty Turco the 2nd star of the week after posting a 3-0 record during the Stars Western Canada roadtrip.  First star was  Pavel Datsyuk of the Detroit Red Wings and third was Chris Drury of the New York Rangers.

Also, the NHL announced today that the February 17 match up between Detroit and Dallas (in Dallas) will be aired on NBC.  Because of this the time has been changed, instead of noon, the game will begin at 2:30pm (Central).

  1. Patty (in Dallas) Says:

I think they regretted kicking the Stars off the last NBC broadcast. I think it was Stars-Ducks. They decided then that the Rangers, even though they were barely clinging to a playoff spot, were more exciting than a close Pacific Division rivalry with the defending champs vs. the 3rd-ranked team in the league.

  2. Jen Says:

I think so too. I seriously couldn’t believe they dropped the Stars for the friggin Rangers!
