That a boy(s)!

The Stars managed to get back at the Avalanche the worst way possible.  Can you say shutout? (Or SHUTDOWN! as Monica puts it!)

The Stars managed to keep the Avs with only 1 shot on goal in the first period, though I think the 1 shot on goal was to boost morale for the Avalanche (who paid the refs?)  That pretty much set the tone for the rest of the game; well that and Trevor Daley and Steve Ott beating the crap out of certain Avs players.

Stars went into the first intermission with a 2 goal lead, thanks to the greatness that is Stu Barnes and Stéphane Robidas! (YAY ROBI!)  They made it 3-0 in the second with a goal from Brad Richards.  His first as a Dallas Star! GO BRAD!!  (Brad also got an assist on Robi’s goal.)  The Avs put Budaj in for the third period (Theodore had been the starter) and he managed the hold the Stars off at only 3 goals.  The Stars defense and goalie, however, were perfect.  Obviously since it was a shut out.

The three stars of the game were

  1. Brad Richards (1 goal, 1 assist)
  2. Mike Modano (2 assists)
  3. Stéphane Robidas (1 goal)

I also feel the need to mention that Brenden also got an assist on the Brad Richards goal.  Tippett had Mo, Morrow and Richards on a line together and boy was it fierce!!  Also, how pimp is Hagman with his tinted visor!?

Also, the Stars posted this article and picture.

No.  Just No.

The Jonas Brothers should be posing with the Pens and holding #87 jerseys … let them go play picture time with NHL pretty boy Cindy Crosby instead of cheapening our gear. Crikey.
