Is it possible Avery isn’t the only one leaving?

Puck Daddy posted a very interesting blog today

He quotes Ken Campbell who writes that it looks like Hull could also be leaving us as GM.

Several NHL sources have indicated that within the next couple of weeks the Stars’ co-GM experiment with Brett Hull and Les Jackson will be history. Speculation is Hull will move to another area of the organization and will be out of the decision making process when it comes to hockey matters.

I can’t say this surprises me.  I know Hull is a new GM, and was also using this time to learn the job that Jackson had least had some experience at, but where do you draw the line between ‘still learning’ and doing nothing?

Hull’s insistence on signing Avery in the face of opposition from everyone else in the hockey department will undoubtedly be a factor in the move, but sources also say Hull isn’t really fulfilling the GM duties beyond watching the Stars play.

You forgot eating, Ken.

Heika, however, is reporting the exact opposite, with a quote straight from Hicks.

As for rumors that Hicks is going to re-assign Hull, the owner said:

‘”I’ve heard that and it’s wrong. I have no plans to change the management team.”
