Who am I?

Name is Jen. I am a 20-something girl from Dallas, TX. I have been a hockey fan for over a decade, almost religiously watching Dallas Stars games from the time they came to Dallas in 1993 and also attending a few Dallas Freeze (CHL) games back in the day.

I grew up watching sports (mostly Football, until the Stars came of course.)

As for some random and unimportant information. My favorite Stars player is Brenden Morrow and has been since he’s worn good ole #45. When I’m not watching or obsessing over hockey numbers I am either obsessively watching TV shows (Skins, Gossip Girl, ER, Friends to name a few) or playing Guitar Hero and various other video games.

If you want to email me for praise or to tell me how friggin lame I am, feel free to do so at theshootoutblog@gmail.com (theshootoutblog [AT] gmail [DOT] com)

I’ve also gotten into this whole “twitter” thing, so feel free to add me: THEJenlo is my personal account
theshootoutblog for blog and Stars updates

I think it is AWESOME when I find fellow female hockey fans! :) I have been a Stars fan since they came here in 93. I love the Stars and hockey in general. Oh, and I’m a 30something divorced mother of a wayward teenage son who is a *gasp* Red Things fan (oh the pain, the pain!) and a 9yo girl who plays Dallas Stars Youth Hockey League! She is being raised properly and loves the Stars thankyouverymuch! LOL

Anyway, I’m glad I found your blog! Keep up the good work! :)

I stumbled right on in and saw some familiar faces. I too thought Halpern was a good thing on the ice . . . still not totally sure what we got out of that deal, but oh well. What can I say, school-girl crush may have blinded me. :)

Richards has turned out okay, right . . . eh?

    Go team USA.

Season ticket holder since i got back to the homeland.
